When we are happy, relaxed and able to explore the material thoroughly in our own time, when we are able to make mistakes and not be made to feel foolish, when we are encouraged to believe in ourselves and our strengths, when our teachers nurture our learning in the way we prefer to learn.
The Tuition Centre is like no other tuition organisation - it seeks to empower all individuals in their learning and in life, both children and adults.
We are an open centre running 2pm to 9pm offering tuition in many subjects for school, TEE, college and specific occupations. We also recommend a variety of personal empowerment courses using the principles of NLP enabling individuals to achieve to their full potential through our partner inspiration centre.
The Tuition Centre specialises in maths. Many children and adults never get the opportunity to see how see how good they can be at this subject. Once a basic concept in maths is not understood it can be hard to develop further as the concepts often build on each other. This starts a downward cycle that is often hard to break out of – something we often see at The Tuition Centre. Combined with our unique interest and understanding of each student we fill in the gaps and empower our students. This means our students gain confidence and control over their learning at school, university or at work and are empowered to move ahead.
Everyone is welcomed into our centre and accepted and nurtured as the individual that he/she is. Each student has the opportunity to tell us about their learning journey so far, areas they are achieving already in and where they would like to do better.
We are interested in what makes them tick - what interests them, and how they know that they learn best. Each student is assessed for their preferred learning style and has a good look at how they prefer to process information.
They are then given a variety of strategies from which they can choose to make their study more interesting and effective. In doing so they can spend much less time studying and more time learning and developing essential life skills.
We empower our students to be all they know they can be. We help them set their goals and formulate their plan for life and study, encouraging them to keep raising their standards and expectations for themselves as individuals.
